Red Fife Sifted Flour

Sifted flour

When we sift our stone-ground grain, we get a lighter, fluffier flour. It creates a stretchy elastic dough, without giving up on the hearty nutrients. That is why we don't need to include any additives.

Ideal for home milling, our whole wheat berries are a great choice for baking, hearty grain bowls or specialty cooking, bringing a robust, heirloom flavor to your home.

Grown in Alberta, Milled in the Rockies

We mill our wheat from local Red Fife berries grown on the prairies of Alberta, hugging the Rocky mountains. The wheat is grown naturally, without the use of pesticides. During harvest we may get a smaller yield but it's fascinating to see the field's biodiversity when you don't resort to chemicals.
Every batch is stone‑ground and packaged fresh for daily orders. At Spindle Mill we like keeping things natural, simple and as hands‑off as possible.
